CZ recently unveiled their new Urban Counter Sniper rifle, which is based on the company’s CZ 550 controlled-round feed action. The stock is a Bell and Carlson Aramid fiber model with a full-length aluminum bedding block and the short barrel is tipped with a Surefire muzzle brake/suppressor mount. The entire outer surface is coated with a green non-glare Teflon coating and the action is polished so that the bolt runs like it’s been freshly greased. The short overall length makes the UCS highly maneuverable, and it;s also extremely accurate. From 100 yards it produced .7″ groups with factory Hornady A-Max ammo. With an MSRP of $2,530, it isn’t the cheapest tactical rifle on the market, but it’s one of the best. Check out my review in an upcoming issue of Gun World magazine.
